A downloadable tool for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Recovery CMD re-enables the cmd.exe by faking itself as a script and adding features on top of it.

Before downloading, please read this:
The current v1 version is broken and is NOT recommended. Please wait for the v2 rewrite, that is currently in development. If you want to download it early, you can download the latest development version from the repository here.

Install instructions

Automated way to install Recovery CMD:
1. Download the .exe file
2. Open it (no zipping program needed) and set the extraction path to "C:\"
3. Open cmd.exe as administrator and enter the following command to install RCMD: cd C:\RCMD-Inst && setup
4. Wait for it to install, and.... done!

Manual way to install Recovery CMD:
1. Download the .exe file
2. Open it with a zipping program (we recommend 7-Zip (open to get to the original site))
3. Extract the folder named "RCMD" to "C:\"
4. Done!

If you are updating Recovery CMD from an older version, just do the same steps above. But if you install it the manual way, make sure to remove the C:\RCMD\R.CMD file and the C:\RCMD\files folder.
